Terms
1. What Open Horyzn is
Open Horyzn is a desktop assistant for macOS. You describe what you want to do; it takes a screenshot of the window you are asking about, sends it to Anthropic's Claude models using your own API key, and either points at the right element or, if you allow it, carries out the step for you.
2. Your Anthropic key, your bill
Open Horyzn does not resell model access. You bring your own Anthropic API key. It is stored on your Mac and sent only to Anthropic, with every request the app makes for you. Anthropic bills you directly for what the app uses. We never receive the key, your requests or Anthropic's answers — except the technical error message of a failed request, if you choose to send us a report about it.
Open Horyzn's own plans are separate from that bill. Open Horyzn is currently in beta and has two plans. Go is free and includes 50 messages and 50 pills a month (a pill is the pink “click here” marker the app draws on your screen). On Go we count every message you send and every pill the app shows against that allowance, per account and per Mac. Founder (one payment) has no limits. During the beta, Founder is offered at a beta price; plans and prices can change when the beta ends, and what you have bought stays yours. The current plans and prices are shown at www.open-horyzn.com.
3. What you may not use it for
Do not use Open Horyzn to break into systems you are not authorised to use, to work around access controls, or to do anything unlawful where you live. Do not point it at other people's screens or accounts without their knowledge.
4. It acts on your computer
When you let Open Horyzn carry out a step, it can open apps and pages, run shell commands, type, and move files to the Trash on your behalf. It does none of this without your approval — step by step, or once for a task if you tick that kind of action when it asks. Moving a file to the Trash is asked every time. Commands that only read something — listing files, checking a version, or reading a file in a folder you named in your request — can run without a separate question. What they return is shown in your chat. You are responsible for what you ask it to do, and you should not run it unattended on a machine holding data you cannot afford to lose.
5. No warranty
Open Horyzn is provided as is. It reads your screen with a vision model and that model can be wrong: it can point at the wrong thing, type into the wrong field, or misread what it sees. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage arising from its use.
6. Your account
You may delete your account at any time under Settings. That deletes your sign-in, your profile and your reports from our database, deletes your API key from this Mac and moves the local Open Horyzn folder to the Trash. The monthly totals counted for this Mac stay with us under its device code — see the Privacy summary. We may suspend accounts that are used to attack the service.
7. Updates
Open Horyzn is updated through our website, www.open-horyzn.com. Updates are free. When a version is no longer supported, the app asks you to download the current one before you can continue.
8. Buying Founder
Founder is one payment; nothing renews. You pay the price shown at checkout, and that is the total. Stripe processes the payment, and we never receive your full card number. To buy Founder you must be at least 18, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
Founder removes the monthly limits of Go and includes the app's future updates. It has no end date and keeps working with your own Anthropic key, also if other plans are added later. It lasts for as long as Open Horyzn is offered; if we ever have to stop offering it, we will say so on the website at least 30 days in advance.
Founder is switched on for the account whose confirmed email address is the one you entered at checkout, whether you sign in with Google or with email and password. If you buy before you have an account, it is switched on when you create one with that address.
9. Money back and right of withdrawal
You can get your money back within 14 days of buying Founder, without giving a reason. Write to office@open-horyzn.com from the email address you bought with. We refund the full amount to the payment method you used, and your account returns to Go.
If you are a consumer, you also have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days. How it works, and a form you can use, are at www.open-horyzn.com/withdrawal. This money-back promise does not limit that right.
10. Changes
If these terms change materially, you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use the app.
11. Law and contact
These terms are governed by Austrian law. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in still apply, including your statutory warranty rights; nothing in these terms limits them.
Open Horyzn is made and run by one person, Zdravko Jovanovic, in Vienna, Austria. His full address is in the imprint at www.open-horyzn.com/imprint. Contact: office@open-horyzn.com.
How your data is handled is set out in the privacy policy, your right to withdraw from a purchase in the right of withdrawal, and who runs Open Horyzn in the imprint.
