Questions

Short answers.

Do I need my own API key?

Yes. Open Horyzn talks to Claude with your key, not ours. You top up at Anthropic, you see every request in your own console, and you can revoke the key at any moment.

That is also why the app is this cheap: what you pay us is for the app, not for the tokens.

What does that cost me on top?

We measured it instead of guessing — 272 real calls on Claude Fable 5, billed tokens, not estimates.

A job of about ten stepsmeasured across real jobs, $0.50 to $3.50
$1.50
$10 of creditor six jobs of ten steps
≈ 90 pills

Two things move those numbers: the model you pick and how deeply it may think. Smaller models cost a fraction and answer faster.

Is my screen being recorded?

No. A screenshot of one window is taken when you ask a question and, during a task, whenever the app needs a fresh look — for example before each step and once at the end. It goes to Anthropic with your key so the model can find the button, and it is never sent to us.

Your chats, your tasks and the screenshots the app took sit in one folder on your Mac. You can open it, read it and delete it.

Which apps does it work in?

Whatever is on your screen. A browser (Safari or Chrome today), an editor, a video tool, a spreadsheet, a settings window. Open Horyzn reads what is drawn, so it needs no plugin and no integration with the app you are using.

It works best where things are visible. A button hidden three menus deep still has to be opened first.

What happens after I pay?

Founder is one payment. The app and every future update stay yours, and nothing renews.

It runs on your own key, and that does not change when we later offer a managed one — it will be a separate plan, not a replacement.

Does it work on Windows?

Not yet. Open Horyzn is built on macOS APIs — the screen capture and the accessibility layer that finds the button are Apple's, and both need to be rebuilt for Windows.
